  六堡茶原产于广西苍梧县。
六宝茶是历史悠久的少数黑茶之一。
当然值得一提是它的培植和制作方式
可以追溯到1,500年前,
其发酵和窖藏过程已成为中国的受保护的遗产。

Liu Pao Tea originated from Guangxi province,
south west of China. Liu Pao Tea is a one of the few
types of Tea with rich history. Its cultivation and
making method can be traced back to 1,500 years ago.
Its fermentation and process is now a protected heritage in China.

六堡茶与其他种类的茶相比,
六堡茶与马来西亚的关系更为密切。
其在马来亚锡矿开采的黄金时期,
当时许多开采工人都是源自于广东和广西。

Compared to other teas, Liu Pao Tea is more closely
associated with Malaysia. During the golden era
of tin mining in the Kinta Valley in Malaysia, many
workers were brought in from Guangdong and Guangxi.

在锡矿开采时期,许多广东和广西的工人必须在恶劣及
热带高温和潮湿的封闭环境中进行开采工作。
这也导致了许多工人由于恶劣的天气,
封闭的工作环境以及水土不和而经常生病。
之后在健康问题方面,也发现到
广西人比广东人面对较少的健康问题,
这是因为广西人经常把六堡茶当成每天的饮品,
以作解暑的功效。
除此之外,广西人经常喝六堡茶也代表着
自身在异乡思念故乡的方式。
因此,六堡茶早在中马两国之间有着
非常特殊的联系关系。
不仅如此,六堡茶在中国是以贸易商品出口到
东南亚地区而得以闻名,主要是出口至马来西亚。

The mass exodus of migrant workers working in the open
tin mines are often work under harsh tropical heat and
sometime damp enclosed area.
Many of the workers fall sick due to the weather and
working environment condition as well as due to
different food and water condition.
Later it was found that most people from Guangxi has
lesser problem then the Guangdong.
It was traced to the fact that Guangxi people consume
Liu Pao Tea as part of their daily drink.
The Guangxi people also drink Liu Pao Tea as
remembrance of their hometown.
Thus, Liu Pao Tea has a very special connection and
relation between China and Malaysia since the
olden days until now.
In fact it was famous in China for being a trade goods
exported to Southeast Asia, mainly Malaysia.

然而研究证明显示六堡茶与其他种类的茶相比,
六宝茶不仅含有多种人体必需的氨基酸和维生素,
更含有较多的脂质分解酶。六宝茶也具有更强
的分解油腻物质,降低人体类脂肪
化合物和胆固醇的作用。
如长期饮用六堡茶可减肥健身,改善人体消化系统,
缓解疲劳和体内热量,降低血压并预防动脉硬化。

Research have proven that Liu Bao tea contains not only
a variety of essentials amino acids, and vitamins
but also more lipid-decomposing enzymes
compared to other kinds of tea.
Liu Pao Tea has a stronger effect of decomposing greasy
substances, reducing fat compounds, and cholesterol.
Long-term drinking Liu Bao tea promote weight loss,
improve the body digestion system, relieving fatigue and
internal body heat, lowering blood pressure,
and preventing arteriosclerosis.

以下是冲泡六宝茶的步骤:
1. 先预热茶壶和茶杯。
2. 取5 - 8克茶叶冲泡。(根据茶壶大小和个人喜好)
3. 加入热水90℃ 至100℃ 醒茶,倒掉第一杯冲泡的茶。
4. 再加入热水并浸泡10秒钟,即可饮用。
5. 在第4次冲泡后,应把茶叶分层。
6. 茶叶可连续冲泡至10次。
7. 必须将六堡茶存放在阴凉及干燥处。避免阳光直射和直接受到潮湿。

These are the steps for performing a Liu Pao Tea ceremony:
1. Pre-warm teapot and cups.
2. Use 5 - 8 grams of tea leaves depending on the size of tea pot and persons preference.
3. Add hot water (90 – 100 degrees). Pour away 1st brew to rinse the tea.
4. Add hot water and steeping for 10 seconds.
5. Subsequent brew after the 4th times, shall take layer.
6. The tea can be repeatedly brew up to 10 times.
7. Store Liu Pao Tea in a cool and dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight & moisture.
